April 2022: Days out and many days inside
Better late than never, here’s a round up of April adventures. Considering a period of isolation due to COVID-19, we managed to pack quite a lot into the month, including a boat trip on the Clyde and many days of ramen (not pictured).
A walk up Conic Hill (far windier than the last time!) and a roam around Loch Lomond discovering secluded spots despite it being a popular destination.
The first camping trip of the year, and my first in many years, not too far from home. Will remember ear plugs and an eye mask next time as I did not appreciate the dawn chorus waking me up at 5am. Someone give them an ASBO.
Nope, not my new flat but Edinburgh Botanic Gardens looking delightful as ever.
How pretty is this gal modelling next to my painting, ‘Meditations, 36 hours +’? She was paid fairly in dog treats and cuddles.
I completed what I feel may be my last dark blue pieces for a while, as I take a break from these hues and explore a brighter, neon palette and a more abstract style. Both the triptych and Meditations at Sea (above) are available from Scottish Design Exchange on George Street, Edinburgh.
