February 2022: The Leith Collective, Lake District and BobCat Gallery

As always, January seemed to last an age and then February is over in a flash.

I have some very nice things to report on this month, including stocking a selection of my cards and prints in the wonderful The Leith Collective down at Ocean Terminal here in Edinburgh.

I spent some time wandering round the shop, marvelling at the brilliant creations made from recycled and reclaimed materials. They also have a free coat initiative where you can leave an old coat for someone in need.

Last weekend, we headed down to the Lake District for a first birthday party. As the weather forecast wasn’t looking too good, we eschewed our hiking plans and opted for a mine tour instead. As luck would have it, the weather turned out to be dry and sunny - that just means we’ll have to go back and visit some time in the not too distant future… Hellvellyn and Blencathra, I’m coming for you!

I adore seeing photos of my paintings in your home. Don’t you think my blue abstract triptych fits in so well in this space? Not to mention the sofa looks sooo comfy and inviting.

Finally, looking forward into March, I have a painting featured in BobCat Gallery's 100x100 online exhibition, showcasing 100 artworks each available for £100. The private viewing will take place via Zoom tomorrow (Tuesday 1 March 2022) at 6pm. You can book a free ticket via their website.

Wishing you a safe, healthy and happy month ahead.
