Art therapy and film progress

Earlier this week I had my final painting session for my film with Alba Media. The film that we have been working on for over a year is titled Lands Beyond, also the name of my 2021 collection. It became apparent during this shoot that I should call this lighter collection that is currently developing, Lands Beyond II.

Once the camera stopped rolling, I set up my own phone to record some timelapse footage. I learn a lot from watching these videos back, painting as always in time to the music, and find every aspect of the process enjoyable. From putting down old sheets on the floor and setting the stage, to mixing up paint and choosing which paintbrush to be the main character today, to moving colour around and orchestrating the most hypnotic dance.
