Of mountain and sea

Born of sunbeams and starlight

Always meant to be

During these strange COVID-19 times and throughout lockdown, I’ve felt so grateful to live in this magical city. Almost every street you walk down there is a glimpse of something special; a castle, an old volcano or endless hills that melt into the silky sea and sweeping sky in a wonder of blue.

The appeal of walking places, with the exception of posting orders or my weekly food shop, has been replaced with a desire to run, perhaps to process this tumultuous time but also because I seem to like a challenge and have set myself the goal of running 100km each month.

So far, so good.

But mostly, the sunsets. I’m sharing one that has provided excellent painting inspiration, if not for its beauty and composition but calm it instilled in me.

This is what I hope to give you with my art.
