Golden Hour is an acrylic painting on a 24x30” (60x76cm) stretched cotton canvas.
Towards the end of 2022 and moving in to 2023, I started using a varied colour palette in my big paintings, moving away from the dark blue tones that graced my work for the last few years.
The non-traditional use of yellow and green tones in the sky and land, combined with chunky brushstrokes that envelope the canvas evoke a carefree energy, exactly how I feel when that golden hour light is upon us.
This painting is sealed with a gloss varnish to prevent from UV damage and dust.
