A moment of calm
A new world is born
every time the sun rises
and a new you, too
In this odd adventure we call 2020 (and perhaps beyond, but let’s not think too much about that), I’ve found that as I keep myself busy during the day with painting, running and climbing, it’s when I turn off the light at night that my mind kicks into overdrive.
That works out well when it comes to thinking up new paintings but not so much when you turn to worrying about the state of the world.
Sometimes I like to fall asleep listening to a podcast or relaxing music like Max Richter’s Sleep album. And I thought I’d share with you some of my poetry in the form of haiku.
It’s a few minutes of calm, for you to detach and drift away.
