Just around the corner…

An uncertain world

Love unconditionally

This is what we are

Lighter days are on their way.

But while we wait for the days when we can be reunited with our loved ones, when we can indulge in luxuries like eating in restaurants, going to the cinema and travelling, we mustn’t forget to enjoy what we have right now.

And what a treat right now can be.

This morning I went for the most glorious run, documented in the photos below. It was funny that while the streets in the city were clear of snow, Holyrood Park and Arthur’s Seat had claimed the icy blanket all for itself.

Two very different moods and landscapes within the same city.

It was an utterly magical run and one which left me feeling inspired, if a little cold and tired, having run 19 miles this week (and it’s only Wednesday) and 50 miles so far this month. Well, there isn’t much else to do during lockdown.

I’m absolutely taking the next few days as rest and will be indulging in chocolate Swiss roll and giant mugs of tea while keeping cosy and warm indoors.

Take it easy and if you are, take it even easier.
